Interaction of artificial intelligence with the emotional life of human beings is a dynamic field in terms of application, regulation and ethics. Andrew McStay, Lazar Dzamic and Ljubise Bojic will introduce the latest trends in this field. Discussion will be moderated by Simona Zikic. Panelists will touch on the recent decisions of big tech companies to limit the use of AI in ethically problematic domains, such as those that can discriminate against citizens in terms of race and gender, for example during the process of getting loans. The question that arises is whether limitation of use neglects main profit generators of these companies. In that sense, the talk will focus on recommender systems. their social role, level of transparency and how AI is used in this domain. Event is organized by Digital Soceity Lab of IFDT and ADA consortium.
